3.7 weighted GPA (very little weighting at our school), test optional, 4 APs plus 2 dual enrollment (school doesn’t offer APs until junior year)
Congrats. Would you mind sharing stats?
Same here Business 2+ 2 Harrisburg and UP
NJcollege…what are your daughters other admissions?! Just curious!
So if they already chose everyone why haven’t we heard a thing???
What Major?
3.5W / 1270 SAT / 4 APs (all 4s) from top rated NJ high school. DUS with Summer Start was hence the best shot at UP. The 2+2 option (Harrisburg + UP) is a decent option, so S24 is not dejected. He has admits to Engg at Binghamton, U South Florida, Michigan State & U Central Florida.
Sorry I forgot to include that—-
DUS
Lots and lots more to go.
To add, PSU at UP is an expensive proposition for OOS students. COA runs at about $53k a year. The 2+2 option saves you almost $30k over 4 years. Also, for STEM majors, the smaller campuses, particularly Harrisburg, Altoona and Behrend, allow for much smaller classes and more face time with profs for weed out classes, based on my research done on Reddit. But then, you do miss out on the 4-year UP experience. Just food for thought for those of us who got the 2+2 option.
So my daughter just got home from the Circus! Checked her portal. It’s been the same screen since she submitted in mid Oct. including the celebrate PSUbound note. Somewhere she heard decisions will be out by Dec. 20. So…we wait!
I don’t know how to look at her portals, and I’m glad. They need to start adulting. And we need to let them
same blurb… what is the TO button?

that’s right… thank you Jesse2021

Still waiting for my TO button to disappear
I think we just have to wait! They are supposed to release by Dec. 24. My daughter heard really by the 20th. Let’s try to be patient and supportive of our kids.
After my week, I’ve completely realized there’s so much to be thankful for. Other kids have very serious struggles.
Ours have supportive parents, families and schools. Let’s hope for the best options. Be it Penn State or otherwise.
You can ask for reconsideration for Altoona, Erie or Harrisburg or ask for DUS, ILR (in CLA), Enterprise Tech integration (IST), Health Policy& Management (HHB) or Ag Management (in Ag) **+**Summer depending on stats and academic profile/most advanced courses taken.
As commonwealth campus acceptances are coming in, can someone tell me which are largest/least like a commuter campus? I hear Altoona, but are there others that have dorms/significant on campus life? Thx.
I am OOS with a 1340 SAT, 3.77 UW GPA, and 4.53 WGPA with 4 AP classes.
Should I get out of the business pool now and go to DUS? If I don’t get into smeal do I get outright denied? Because I don’t want to do any 2+2 type stuff. Thanks a lot, guys.
