Your son could also look into the possibility of applying to Penn State World Campus and taking online classes part-time this summer and fall (less than 18 credit hours total to retain freshman eligibility), either at home or off campus in State College while applying for Spring 2026 admission to UP. I have no idea if this is feasible or allowed by PSU admissions, but I donāt think that it would be that much different than taking community college courses or attending another college for a semester.
My transcript shows my gpa is 3.7378 and on the SRAR i rounded to 3.74, just saw on there website you should not round up, i got accepted to psu and i dont want my offer to be taken away, does anyone know what i should or anyone think i am fine?
Yes you are fine - you will not be penalized for rounding to the second decimal point and it is crazy that your transcripts go to 4 decimalsā¦
Yes i have no idea why they do that, thats why i was hesitant putting my gpa into SRAR
They would probably be concerned if you rounded up to 4.0. Canāt imagine anyone would have an issue with what you did.

Any hints on when PSU Schreyer Honors College will notify first year applicants for Fall 2025???
Website says on or before 3/1. Assuming itās the same from 3 years ago it is all at once. Good luck! Itās a great program.

The timing for the PSU SHC is critical (at least in my mind).
For S23 it came out mid-March (felt like 3/15?) but that written, he then had Early Admits from say top tier universities for about 6 weeksā¦ and after researching them and visitingā¦ he had locked in.
For S25 (and S29) I donāt care what they select so long as they are passionate about the school.
Long winded way for me to say I think that the faster the SHC can get through their process, possibly the higher the āyieldā is for those kiddos offered.

This is what I/we see on the SHC app after logging inā¦ and this hasnāt changed since Augustā¦ whereby it says āearly Marchā

Look for your Schreyer Honors College admission decision online in mid February to early March. Weāll notify you in advance by e-mail of the date and time our admissions decisions go live. Good luck!
If you have been accepted to Penn State, consider waiting until you have your Schreyer decision to schedule your accepted student visit.
Is anyone going to admitted student day this weekend? Iām a little afraid the weather is going to be a turn off. But I guess if he likes it in the snow and sleet, its a winner!

Weāre headed there. Weāre midwest, so weāre used to the weatherā¦ but we also figured it is good to see the school in its best, and maybe not so best, weather conditions! The students are the ones that need to walk back and forth to class.
