Congratulations!! :blue_heart::white_heart::lion:

Congratulations! Can you share stats?

Congratulations! Mine has similar stats. Is that GPA from her HS or is it recalculated with core classes only?

I wanted to share some stats for my son that may give some hope to kids with stats below what I am typically seeing on here. That’s her unweighted and weighted gpa. I’ve been told PSU only really considers unweighted.

Congratulations that gives me some hope! Has anyone heard for DUS yet?

Congratulations!

Has anyone heard from Econ (Liberal Arts)?

Looks like the 1st batch of acceptances from College of Liberal Arts went out on Friday night. Haven’t seen any more since on this thread.

Interesting, I’ve been told they only consider weighted.

Not yet(although I think there have been a few that have trickled out). Last year it seemed a lot of DUS came out at the beginning of December so we are still waiting. The waiting game stinks and is so very stressful lol (especially when the decisions just roll out and aren’t released on 1 day!). Glad I have a 6 year gap between my kids since I don’t think I could handle another college acceptance season so soon :rofl:

I truly hope they consider both to some degree - I would hate to have my daughter penalized because she took a harder class but maybe got a B and was challenged instead of easily getting an A and being completely bored!

@CollegeMom2027 @rlutness

Penn state applies its own “weighting” by using the raw data from the SRAR. Since weightings are so dramatically different by high school, that is why you put the raw data and how the scale is measured.

Trust me, they aren’t admitting student with a 4.0 (uw) with no honors or AP classes over a student with a 3.9 (uw) with substantial honors and AP classes.

They develop their own “EI” … Evaluation Index … based upon grades - using their weighting - and test scores and the other criteria that they consider.

Yes, exactly!

thank you so much!! this forum helped a lot! I knew to look for the TO tab to disappear and sure enough it did late afternoon (California time). He didn’t submit test scores and his GPA was a 3.9. He took 3 AP classes and was very involved in Varsity Sports in high school. He was also the president of a club he founded “mental health matters”. Good luck to all of the seniors waiting!

Anyone hear from HHD or more specifically Kinesiology?

Any engineering TO acceptances?

My daughter is also waiting for a decision from HHD/Kinesiology. I’ve seen a few HHD/Biobehavioral Health acceptances, but nothing else from HHD. Good luck to you!
