My daughter heard yesterday that she got wait- listed.
Good luck to your daughter - hopefully she can make it in. Anyone else here anything? If anyone is willing to share stats that could be helpful too. Thanks.
D was invited into the program but most of the people she heard from have either been rejected or waitlisted. Tough (but informative) interview weekend, but that is to be expected with the exceptional nature of this opportunity. Good luck to all in their future endeavors!
I was waitlisted as well.
My D who was wait listed got a 34 on the ACT (36 on the STEM portion)
3.9 unweighted, 4.7 weighted GPA- candidate for a full IB diploma
5 on BC calculus; 5 on Physics C mechanics, 5 on English literature, 5 on Govāt and 5 on US History
has taken MVC, differential equations and taking linear algebra
This year taking IB higher level physics, biology and chemistry
I am guessing that she wasnāt social enough at the interview weekend- she does not like dances and djs or that she is weaker on STEM related extracurriculars.
I forgot to mention she got on SAT - 800 biology, 790 math 2, 780 physics
Hey guys! My name is Kate and Iām from Chicago. I was accepted into the Millennium Scholars program and I just committed this weekend. Iām looking to create a Facebook or Snapchat group of accepted and committed Millennium Scholars for cohort 6. If this applies to you comment your username/name and Iāll add you!
Hi Kate! My name is Destiny and Iām also from Chicago. I was accepted into the Millennium Scholars program and committed as well. I would love to be apart of the group if youāve made it yet.
Absolutely! Itās called āPenn State Millennium Scholars Cohort 6ā on FB. If you request Iāll add you! We have two people so far haha.
Thanks everyone for sharing your stats and congrats to those who committed to the program.
Helpful article, although I found this part weird!
Only boys can open doors? Good grief.
