I’d say the alumni network is a huge draw since engineers can use internships.
weather is about the same. depends what you call very cold. September and October are warm and crisp, November it’s 5-10 Celsius and humid, Dec Jan Feb. you have snow and temps below zero Celsius from time to time, March and April it’s a mix between snow and thaw and them on it’s warm and sunny.
state college the town where Penn state is located is a college town so it has everything students may want: lots of restaurants, several movie theaters, a place to go to basketball games and rock concerts, stores that students favor … yes there is a typical mall, another mall with a Target and other big stores, a wallmart that is one of the most something - most profitable perhaps? - and a good bus system to go everywhere.</p>
