<p>That doesn’t make sense. If someone made cutting remarks about someone to a newspaper and then settled a lawsuit with said party, surely no one would expect the newspaper to track down and burn each and every paper, lest someone lay eyes on the “offending” remarks.</p>
<p>Future remarks are covered by the lawsuit. Past remarks are in the past and can’t be taken back. It must be a relief that this is over.</p>
