<p>Partial retraction:</p>
<p>It seems that Brown, Vanderbilt, Rice, UVA, USC, Emory, Notre Dame, and Cornell have higher admit rates for transfers. It would seem that, at least with respect to Vanderbilt and Notre Dame, transferring is substantially less competitive, at least numerically. That said, the applicant pool is still stronger and mitigates the difference at many of the other schools with negligibly higher acceptance rates for transfers.</p>
