<p>^^actually, i got an 800 on CR my first time. The thing is, with a lot of CR questions, its kind of ambiguous. My theory is that some of it is just luck. the rest is probably having read a lot of books. </p>

<p>@packer22: It is obviously not just luck. Otherwise you wouldn’t see people with multiple 800s, or you’d see really odd anomalies (500/800), etc.</p>
<p>It would be VERY hard to prove that CR isn’t a skill. You yourself said you read a lot. Hence, you’ve developed the skill of critically reading.</p>

<p>I used to feel this way, but lately I have realized that I was just rationalizing. There is a difference between not being quantifiable and being subjective. Now, the essay is what I would consider somewhat subjective (though not completely).</p>
