Well, going back to the topic, my point was that D’s easy classes have lowered her GPA below 4.0, because she got 3 “A-” in easy classes in her Music Minor. She has many more A+ than three, but they did not compensate because at her school there are no ‘bonus’ points for A+.
Well, anyway, GPA game is bogus, just take classes of your interest in addition to your major, if you want to do so and have fun with them. By the way, D. has developed very nice voice taking these classes, which has never been a goal. So, here you go with real bonus, not some “+” on a transcript that nobody really cares about.

From previous posts it seems that it doesn’t matter anyway. Even if a school gives “bonues” for A+, they don’t count when applying to med school.

^Yes. The difference is not important. It does make a difference though in regard to making Dean’s list or President’s list (4.0) for semester, which again is very irrelevant.

^^^

True, it does help for university honors. :)

speaking of irrelevant…I’m assuming that you mean for med school prospects…

Do any college honors matter?

Do they care if you make Phi Beta Kappa? or other honors?

No because Phi Beta Kappa is largely determined by your GPA (which they already know) and maybe the breadth of your coursework (which, again, med schools already know from your transcript). It adds no new information.

‘Easy’ classes do not necessarily mean easy As, ‘easy’ schools don’t mean easy high GPAs.
