<p>DS was in this class before. Even though he did not hate it, he was not particularly enthusiastic about it either. According to him, only some of the lectures are interesting (to him), but he did not enjoy most of the discussion sessions – He said sometimes none of the students have enough background knowledge (often times including the professor who was there to facilitate the discussion) to engage in a meaningful discussion on the topic, as sometimes the topic may be very specialized. The end-of-the-year paper is the only work that is time-consuming. He did not take the stipend for the summer research for various reasons. (It seems the course name is changed. Back then, it was called Perspectives on Science, without Engineering.)</p>
