BU Student Ambassador,

What you are mentioning is peanuts compared to what SBU students do, have the opportunity of doing, and the resources that are available. I don’t understand the inferiority complex of Bing students when one mentions your school is not strong in the Sciences? Be proud of your liberal arts, that’s what you were meant to do, and you are doing really well at it. I’m proud of how good Bing is in the Liberal Arts. However, when the conversation is about Science, as I mentioned in great detail before, it’s an insult to even compare SBU vs Bing, SBU is on a whole, completely different tier. SBU has resources that put’s it on par with Ivy-leagues, whom we directly compete with in Science. Stony’s Liberal Arts on the other hand, are in no way comparable to Bing’s.

So this is what it drills down to,

If(scienceSchool)
goStonyBrook();

else if(liberalArts)
goBingU();

Leave the Science for Stony Brook. We are heavily investing to be a top 20 Science school in the USA.

Once again, we should all clap our hands for our fellow SUNY institution, Stony Brook, that was ranked 4th in the most prestigious Math competition on earth. #1 Harvard, #2 MIT, #4 Stony Brook. We have had a spectacular decade in the Sciences, and this is the beginning.

Hopefully Stony Brook can continue innovating, like when we did the research for the MRI, while hopefully Bing can continue publishing great English books, and strengthening its business program.
