Hmmm I it possible one of them does not like boating?
My D will go but does not ever love it due to some bad experiences.
H has a very hard time learning simple things at home - what gets recycled (I really think he enjoys throwing stuff in the trash can). He throws paper stuff in the trash can, things that have ‘1’ or ‘2’ on them for recycling. Even the bag the newspaper comes in. It is little stuff though, Chihuahua snapping at the heels versus major stress stuff.
^I had one of those scary, realistic dreams last week in which DH passed away. Whoa, changed my perspective, for sure!
Restaurant bathrooms- where the sign is there reminding employees that they have to wash their hands, but the soap is wimpy and the hot water is nonexistent. Yuk.
Great…
Couple arrived last night with a nice plate of a bit of bread and cheese something and radish. Very tasty.
We had put out dolmas and a small wedge of cheese and some rice crackers. They were to bring an appetizer.
That was all. They brought a bottle of warm Rose that had to be chilled (?) and wanted served(?).
They also brought, unasked, cupcakes and raspberries unwashed.
Of course, I had dessert ready including a big bowl of raspberries and blueberries.
Then she sniped at her H not to eat the cheese. Then she sniped at him to not eat the bacon on the
bacon wrapped scallops. Then she got after him for eating the chocolate decadence that I had served but
somehow the chocolate cupcakes were eaten just fine.
Then they argued and she threatened to divorce him and he said OK.
People think that this couple is funny and loving and tight.
So today I am realizing how insulted I am that basically whatever I make she deconstructs for him to eat.
Next time (and overall a fun time and not something we want to completely end) I am going to ask her
what I can make that she thinks her H can eat. No attitude… I hope!
High maintenance friends!
It’s frustrating to spend time and money preparing food and not have it eaten, let alone fussed over. It’s also anmiyjng to bring unprepared good, and now you have to get out stuff for them to prep it and mess up the kitchen.
Being that there are many hospitals, people don’t go to “the hospital”; they go to “a hospital”.
