yup hopefully, i get it back tomorrow i think.

some sections got them back today so you probably will.

i didn’t go to lecture today, did zettl say what was the A- cutoff?

I think he said >83 is in the A range, but he didn’t specify the +/- cutoffs. I’m assuming 83 would be the cutoff for an A- since it’s about 1 SD above the mean.

what do you think the B+ cutoff is?

thanks tomo

i hope zettl’s 2nd midterm is like this one, i feel the huge curve helps more than if the test were easier

the curve in this class is ridiculous…
I walked into the midterm thinking I was completely screwed (no idea what the **** was going on with inductors when you get into math details) and I got around 105 on the midterm…Apparently there are still people who don’t get what Guass’s Law is in my section after the midterm…

high 5 emiko

it amazes me how openly condescending people on CC can be

@sb: u talking about emiko? i don’t think he’s being condescending…

i don’t think so either. if you don’t know gauss’s law, you’re pretty much screwed for physics 8b. it’s one of the easiest concepts…

but yeah, curve is ridiculous. you can score below average and get a B- in the class.
