Piano moving advice?

I was disappointed to learn that the Larry Fine who wrote the Piano Book was not related to Larry Fine of the Three Stooges.

Pierce Piano Atlas may also be helpful. It includes manufacturers, history, serial numbers & year made. It may help you research your specific piano.

Just don’t use the piano movers in the Glad Bag commercial. Sorry, but I just wanted to inject some humor :).

Kohler and Campbell is very old, and has made many kinds of pianos, some of which would have a lot of value now, others not. An upright probably has greater potential than a console or spinet. It’s probably worth trying to research it more to get an idea before you do anything with it. Is there really no room in your home for an unassuming piece of furniture to hang out for 6 months?

Funny, I was disappointed to learn that Larry Fine of the Three Stooges wasn’t related to the Larry Fine who wrote the Piano Book. Nyuk nyuk, wiseguy.
