<p>I absolutely agree that fitness is not above rank, but PT here isn’t like PT in the AD world. On active duty, it makes sense for the uniform to lack rank - I have no problem at all with that. But here, four degree life isn’t something that stops after your 9-5. It’s a continual, 24 hour per day thing. I guess it’s hard to explain, but four degrees (and basics) should always stand out, because there should always be pressure on them. Again, it’s probably a little difficult to understand completely until you’ve been through it, but there’s a method behind the madness here. It’s important that there’s always separation and a clear distinction between four digs and upperclassmen, which isn’t really necessary in the more laid back (and normal) world of active duty.</p>
