Pierson vs Davenport

Pierson is clearly in need of a new cheer, and it may be incumbent on the class of 2014 to address the problem. By the way, the old cheer (Tyng, Tang, GPA!) was great and referred to the fact that Piersonites typically came in first in IM sports & the drinking competition, but last in GPA. It was busted in 2004, when PC students had the highest GPA.

About the butteries… I don’t buy it. Pierson and Davenport are connected underground, so there could be as many Piersonites hanging out in the DC buttery as there are people from Davenport (what’s the genitive noun for Davenport?) studying in the Pierson one.

Pierson College is fantastic, go there. The dining hall is like a mental hospital --plenty of crazy conversations going on there to teach you and make you learn. I love that post, but in terms of insane, Davenport produced the Bush trauma that hit the world. That’s one dynasty Yale should D-Port. Of course, plenty of good Davenporters though, and some even with accomplishments to be proud of ;). Back to the dining hall - the reason the dining hall is so bright is that the logo of Pierson has three suns, so expect it to be warm and sunny there all year long. Also I gave classical concerts in the dining hall, it has great acoustics as far as dining halls go, less echo then Woolsey but nice and intimate. Regarding Freshman Housing, Pierson is above the post office and if you hang out on the steps you get to meet tons of people, from all classes, as well as pick up the vibe of campus and community way better than any other location on old campus. So Pierson is the clear choice and if you want Davenport, take the tunnel.
