<p>language is only for if you plan on continuing a language you’ve taken in high school, but you can also place using an AP score:

All incoming first-year students are required to take a brief online test in mathematics prior to your arrival on campus, even if you do not plan to take a math course at Wesleyan or be exempted from the exam by a score of 3 or above on an AP exam in that language.

math is mandatory but we don’t have to take it until the end of the summer:
