<p>that’s all well and good, except that Tufts is quite a bit harder to get into now than it was even five years ago. The average SAT score for admitted students is about a 1430 IIRC, and the average for enrolled students is a 1405. An 1170 is probably not going to cut it unless you’re an athlete or a development candidate. I could of course be wrong and concede that I am not all-knowing, and I realize that the SAT isnt always an accurate measure of academic ability.</p>
<p>I’d encourage you to apply, but also to retake the SAT.</p>
