Why are you blending the SAT scores and the ACT scores? The new SAT scores seem to stand on there own. For Hamilton, the average is as you note ~1430. Are you suggesting that Hamilton significantly disadvantaged students who submitted ACT scores relative to those who submitted SAT scores (by ~40 points)?
Many have questioned whether the ACT to SAT concordance tables are correct (supplied by the College Board without consulting with the ACT based on a study): e.g., CC’s “New Discussion SAT concordance table - compare old and new SAT scores” discussion board.
Your initial assertion was: “Regarding post #4, Hamilton’s avg accepted SAT last year was a 1465, so it’s a true reach with a 1420.”
If the average total SAT score for Hamilton’s enrolled class of 2021 was around ~1430, is a score of 1420 a “true reach”?
The OP’s gpa is reported as (with a good number of APs): “3.98- all As and one A-”
Their rank: “Class rank: 4/155”
Hamilton ranks both of these factors as more important in their holistic decisions than standardized test scores.
