I am currently doing a technical school alongside my high school(It is counted as a science at my school and it is worth 3 credits! Classes at my normal highschool are only 1!). I also did a college course with the Pennsylvania College of Technology(I finished with an A).

I did 5 honors classes during Freshman and Sophomore year. I did not take honors or AP’s junior year, but I had a perfect 4.0 gpa that year.

Awards:

Inducted into National Technical Honor Society,

1 educational-level I.T Certification(Trying to get more)

Extracurriculars

I have worked a summer job since the eight grade.

JV wrestler for the ENTIRETY of freshman year

Chess Club member during 9th and Tenth Grade

I recently joined the Sons of The American Legion, and I recently did my my first event on 9/20!

The Florida public university weighted GPA recalculation gives +0.5 for honors courses and +1.0 for AP, AICE, IB, and college courses. The GPAs listed on sites like the following are presumably from this recalculation.

Note that Florida public universities have a 9 credit summer session requirement (must be at a Florida public university, not transfer credit from other colleges), so that needs to be considered for financial and schedule planning.

Wait, when you say +0.5/1,what do you exactly mean?

This shows examples of how Florida public universities will count grade points when recalculating your GPA:

Grade Regular Honors AP/AICE/IB/college
A 4.0 4.5 5.0
B 3.0 3.5 4.0
C 2.0 2.5 3.0

Here’s the link to the OP’s original chance me which had many responses for other schools: Please chance me for Purdue and other schools (3.59 gpa) [PA resident, 1220 SAT (1240 super), prefer <$35k, IT major]

You calculated your unweighted. I assume you used a 4 for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C.

For Fl schools, for Honors classes, it’s 4.5 for an A, 3.5 for a B, 2.5 for a C.

With AP it’s 5 for an A, 4 for a B, 3 for a C.

Use that to determine your weighted.

You have two affordable already right ? Albany and St Joes.

There are other Southern schools assured for admission and budget or is it only these two for a specific reason ?

Just wondering

Calculate your weighted gpa as I listed above please.
