<p>You can definitely include that in your transfer update. I was simply stating that there’s no guarantee you are going to pass all your courses so there is still a chance your petition may not be granted. Just because you put down that you’re applying for academic renewal doesn’t mean that it will happen and UCD will recognize that. I think it’s more than likely that UCD will consider your current GPA with the D when viewing your application. </p>
<p>Not doing enough practice problems is not an “extenuating circumstance” to explain the D in o-chem. </p>
<p>Anyway, GPA is not the only factor that’s being looked at. Your personal statement and/or extracurricular activities can make a case for you.</p>
<p>The D doesn’t eliminate you from the running, it just made it a bit harder to win. Good luck.</p>
