Well i’ll take you word that you own me in the aforementioned but…

maybe it was due to the fact that I wrote something worthwhile in my essays, handled the interview better, took a tougher courseload or went to a more competitive school ( straight a’s mean nothing at a number of public schools in my area, if i went to my local public school i would never get a B, no matter the course) that i got in and you did not.

Most likely it was just a crapshoot - complete chance as most college admissions seems to be with so many applicants these days.

I also am Muslim and live in Ohio if you want to blame my admission on something other than merit.

on the real. u guys need to come to cali with me and kreck to tone it down a lil. jp, but no seriously, calm down both of u. Ur talkin ***** on a ****in online forum.

Afalcon10: As a parent reading this thread, could not believe how nasty it got. I give you credit for putting your religion and region out there; unfortunately, minority bias cuts both ways in this country…bottom line is you have worked hard and you are in, so just enjoy it. I recommend cutting down on your cc activity and find other networking outlets. And for you, Canyonbrad, UDel Honors is darn competitive in and of itself. Be proud to be there; my D went there and its a great school. Let go of the “dream” ; Georgetown has its pros and cons like anyplace else. Your real world of Newark should be your focus now. Enjoy yourself and don’t look backwards. You could also benefit by spending less time on cc. This place is addictive. Once my younger D gets into school, I plan to get off too!!

Thank you for your kind words caruth. Unofortunately, the dream is not so easy to let go of. I have applied to transfer to Georgetown, but the solidifying factor in my decision to do so was my earning a 3.933 gpa at UDel honors. I’ll let you all know how it turns out. Thanks

Truce on my part as well. I mean no harm to anybody, I just try to be honest, since we’re all here to help each other out and not to pat each other on the back. I would love more than anything else to be a Hoya. Thank you for your well wishes, and pray to the Georgetown gods for me if you will, AFalcon. Thanks
