I think you should attend any college with an open mind. If you are liberal, then of course support the causes which are near and dear to you. But, rather than seeking an environment of like-minded people, seek out opposing lectures and listen. Knowledge is power. How can you be for or against something if you don’t open your mind to learn all sides of an issue?
But politics aside, Miami is a phenomenal University. We went to orientation and learned that the incoming class of 21 is represented by students from every state and countries that I haven’t even heard of. You will find students from every walk of life and every political background.
