<p>my parents have a W&M window decal… no decals for their schools though. I think this is the first decal to make it on one of our cars as long as I have been riding in them (19 years) =P</p>

<p>As an Oxfordian, I can tell you that a true Oxford student would never have an Oxford sticker on the car, or an Oxford sweatshirt (except if s/he was a “Blue” - a member of the rowing team). You’d have one of your college (in her case, Brasenose, in my case, Worcester.)</p>
<p>Yes, we DO have a Duke bumper sticker and decal on the car, amidst the three pro-choice stickers (“Our parents are pro-choice,” “A world of wanted children would make a world of difference,” and “If you can’t trust me with a choice, how can you trust me with a child?”), two Kansas/evolution stickers (“Kansas: Where evolution has been outlawed and the monkeys are in charge,” and “Dear Kansas, Get a Clue, Love, Dover, PA”), one education sticker (“Defunding education defeats the future”), and various honor student ones…</p>
<p>And yes, we DO live in fear of vandalism here in KS…<em>lol</em></p>

<p>My parents generally like their cars “unstickered”, but we do have a pair of window decals with private school acronyms in discreet colors–one for me and one for my sister. When we go to college I assume there’ll be decals for that, too, if we can find some that aren’t too flashy. (We’re Scandinavian–subtlety is crucial.) ;)</p>
<p>My car came with a UCSD sticker (bought it from an alum living in MD)…so we just left it on :).</p>
<p>I do have small, simple decals on my car–An S on the left for my older son (Stanford) and an IU on the right for younger son (Indiana U). When an IU sticker came in the mail with son’s registration package, he proudly stuck it on his old beater car.</p>
<p>No school stickers here as no kids are in college yet. </p>
<p>But as an “older” student I was tempted to find a sticker that read: “My mom is on the dean’s list with highest honors at XYZ Univ.”
and make S put it on his car :p</p>
<p>Expired high school parking sticker is still in front window. State university sticker for parents in back (but it’s like Susan’s and with the dark glass you can’t really see it unless you’re tailgating) and one from my state univ. grad school, but it’s a basketball sticker (kids are big fans). </p>
<p>One very discrete sticker from son’s private (I had that “Harvard” feeling putting it on) but it says “MOTHER” real big, then the school name real small, so again it’s only for tailgaters - and they must have x-ray vision. Younger son was horrified about that one until he thought of a different interpretation. I actually made a friend in a parking lot when a grad was walking by, saw the Mother sticker and struck up a conversation.</p>
<p>We have the college sticker…although it was difficult to get my husband to remove our high school one! Finally, a couple months after we dropped our youngest off at college, I gently said…“Honey, we no longer have children in high school.” He couldn’t bear to take it off, so I did the dirty work. It seems silly, but that’s how it went!</p>
<p>We’ve got D1’s college sticker on our cars, but it’s my alma mater, too, so I’m not sure how much it counts. Of course I didn’t have the college sticker on the cars before she went away to college…</p>
<p>I have a silver Longhorn dealybob on my car but it’s because we are big time Longhorn fans (we live in CA but our hearts are in Austin lol) DS may or may not get into UT but maybe they need kids from CA to round out their applicant pool? DS attends a USC feeder school so he was especially happy with the Rosebowl win. We have a burnt orange flag on our driveway and took a lot of heat for it - but it was worth it!</p>

<p>Yours and mine BOTH! I was raised in Austin and did my masters at UT. Of course, I DO realize it is now vastly different from the rather out-of-the-way, laid-back city of my youth, the one famed for Hippie Hollow and Threadgill’s (BEFORE it could EVER have envisioned being featured in a VISA commercial! <em>lol</em>).</p>
<p>We, too, have taken a great deal of heat for being Dukies in the midst of “Jayhawk Country.” Our basketball pole has been painted “Duke” for years…except for the brief 20-minute time when it was orange just prior to the online notification of my son’s Duke decision last March 30 <em>lol</em>. </p>
<p>At any rate, I wish your son the very, very best for his TEXAS wish to come true, though I will just HAVE to be a bit jealous of him it is does! ;)</p>

<p>S1 is at Harvard. We skipped the decals and tee shirts but I do drink my morning coffee out of a Harvard mug. When people ask where he goes to school I usually say Boston.</p>
<p>We have a sticker from my daughters college but like another poster said, it’s the kind that clings to the inside and is hard to see through the tinted window. Still makes me smile when I’m inside the vehicle though and see it in my rearview mirror.</p>
<p>No window stickers here, nor any college wear. My S has a couple of college tshirts, but we, in general, are not into the advertising of a college, designer, sports product manufacturer, etc.</p>

<p>I live in a college town. Almost all the cars here have some kind of sticker on them. I put the university’s sticker on my car, afterall they pay my salary. Plus I have an alumni sticker from my grad school, and a sticker for my son’s college. I also wear his school’s tee shirts (for what it costs I should paint myself cardinal and gold) when I work out, which has resulted in some interesting conversations with folks.</p>
<p>We used to have a sticker from the same school that ThisYearsGirl goes to, but that didn’t make the transition to the most recent purchase.</p>
<p>i have a york college alumni window cling in my window. and two harley davidson clings as well. my parents have york college clings on their windows as well.</p>
<p>We had, but we removed it after few days. Someone scratched our car. We live in a redneck zone. Aggies rule. No one likes schools from yankee land.</p>
<p>When I got accepted to Pitt 6 years ago, my mom put a University of Pittsburgh static cling in her rear window…4 years later when I graduated, she decided to take it out and put in a UNC static cling since I committed to that graduate school…</p>
<p>So…she tries to take out the Pitt static cling…half of it decided to stay put…Guess static clings aren’t clingy after 4 years…they become more like stickers and adhere to your window forever! :P</p>
<p>Now my mom has the partial Pitt one, I think she still has a Millersville University one (where my sister attended) and a UNC one (Go Heels!).</p>
<p>As for myself, my Pitt static cling went with my totaled car to the junk lot, so I couldn’t retrieve it…but I have a Pitt alum plate holder and a UNC static cling.</p>

<p>I’m sure we would have removed ours ages ago if not for the fact that our NEWEST car is 13 years old, and my dh drives a 26-year-old Suburban. No one can do much to OUR cars that hasn’t already been done a few times over! <em>lol</em>
