First Rejection. I applied ED2 and was deferred. It was my top choice so I’m pretty bummed but the stats of getting in are ridiculous so I’m not sweating it. I’ll find my peeps somewhere else and make the most of where ever I end up. Congrats to everyone who got in. It is truly incredible and you should be very proud!

I thought my essay was bad but admin officers said they liked it. Talked about rejecting gender norms in my culture and working to get an education and be different than my mother and aunts and grandmothers. I applied through Questbridge so I also wrote an essay about my love of Art and Neuroscience and how I want to intersect those which the admin officer also said he liked! Focus on showing you are a fluid and interdisciplinary person for Pomona while also having an interesting essay. Stats aren’t everything!
I also got accepted to Scripps, Vanderbilt, Washington & Lee, Mt Holyoke, Ohio State, University of Washington, Fordham, Macalester, Grinnell, Oberlin, and Case Western! Got waitlisted at Barnard and Williams.
