Port Canaveral One Day Visit

Personally with one day I’d just get the daily admission ticket. There’s plenty enough to see for the day. From the visitor center continuous running buses will take you to different sites where you get out and explore. I think one of the tours takes you closer to the VAB which is great but I think you no longer get to tour the inside.

Buy your tix on line.

When I was little we went to the VAB and were able to park (seemingly) very close to it. Tons of cars parked in a field. Mom carefully noted our spot but used a spot on the VAB door as a reference. We did not realize just how huge the VAB was. After two hours and a thinning parking lot we finally found our car.
My dad was able once to take us in the VAB for a personal tour and then go up on the roof. The pelicans would open their wings and then jump off, glide around in circles never flapping once and land back on the roof. Rinse and repeat. Just playing and taking turns. I’ll never forget that.

I still have a question.

On the KSC site, there are two different packages that I am interested:

  1. Daily Admission and KSC Explore Tour
  2. Daily Admission and Cape Canaveral Early Space Tour

Has anyone took a tour package before and if you recommend to join a tour package?

The Cape Canaveral Early Space Tour is the bus trip that takes you to the historic space pads.
It used to be called the Then and Now Tour. The tour starts at KSC visitor center and drives you around Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, with stops at the Air Force Space and Missile Museum and several historic sites, before terminating at the Apollo/Saturn V Center. They frequently cancel the trip when Space X or ULA are close to launch. There are spots the Air Force does not allow you to photograph too. And between Pad 5 and Missile Row, the tour passes our Cape Canaveral Lighthouse.
