<p>Though it isn’t a certainty, yes, a grade of D has the possibility of triggering USC to rescind your admission. As it is only March, my advice would be to make an appointment with your teacher to discuss how you can improve, hire a tutor, do extra credit, ANYTHING to ensure you get at least a C- in the course. In addition, you might sign up to retake the course in summer school or at the local JC just in case. If you do receive the D, contact USC immediately with your proposals to retake - they may say that it is okay and no action is required, but if not you will be ready to do what is required. Don’t wait for them to receive your transcript halfway through summer to address the issue.</p>
