<p>The application for ANY on-campus housing (of which UHC counts) is rolling. That is, you send in your money and your choices for top 3 (which I think UHC should not be on that list). Once you’ve done that, you can go fill out the UHC application from the website. That application is NOT rolling. They wait for everyone to turn it in, and THEN decide who to put in the dorm.</p>
<p>So, basically:</p>
<p>–Turn in housing money sooner = better chance of getting top choice-NON UHC dorm (assuming you don’t get in)
–Turn in money later = doesn’t matter IF you get into UHC dorm as it is not part of the rolling process</p>
<p>So you need to weight the chances of whether or not you will get UHC. If you think you will, there is no benefit in sending in your deposit now, since you don’t need to worry about getting your top-choice non-UHC dorm. IIRC last year, everyone got in…</p>
