Post questions about UGA here!

AbbieWalk17: I will try to answer your question, honestly. Unfortunately standardized tests play a major role in admission to many schools. If yours is below the 25% listed for a school, then the chances of admission are low. I know you love UGA, but having your heart set on any one school, especially with a higher SAT range is going to keep you from looking at another school that fits you and you would be happy at. Looking at the colleges that change lives and a search for schools that are test optional may give you some other ideas:
[Colleges That Change Lives | Changing Lives. One Student at a Time.](http://www.ctcl.org/)

Also perhaps some schools would consider an art portfolio as part of admission. Another consideration is to see why you had difficulty on the SAT. Is this the case for most standardized tests? Do you work more slowly and not finish in time? Any problems reading/understanding/writing? You are in AP/accelerated classes which shows you are capable, but something is happening on the test and if is happens a lot, maybe asking a teacher or guidance counselor to help you figure this out would help you find a solution.
In the meantime also look at other schools you could fall in love with.

Emory and Henry and Guilford College are two suggestions.
