minimal. my school offered a free sat prep class which my parents made me take, but it did not have any effect on my score. I slept through every class b/c it was mainly designed for the REALLY low scorers (think 400ish). in math the teacher pretty much taught algebra 1 review. i didn’t learn anything new or anything, if i didnt take the class im very sure that my score would have been the same.

Prep: “Studying” on the couch with the boyfriend the night before. We worked through a math practice test.

I only made an 8 on ACT writing. Does anyone know if this will hurt my chances of being accepted even though my English and Reading were 35 and 36, respectively?

Most everything in life becomes a bragging thread… :(

ACT 36

Prep: I took the test five times before, once in 7,8,9,10, and 11 grade, respectively.

As far as the kid who got into Stanford with a 21 ACT and a 500M… what’s up with that… politics? And why would he waste his time joking about being accepted to Stanford?

The essay portion of both exams is an innaccurate way to gauge writing ability. With virtually no planning time and wide open prompts, you have to just wing it.

I’ll start averaging stuff out when this thread gets to 5 or 6 pages. But I wish the whole site would participate. I thought this the most active forum on it??
