<p>I’m not sure that would be possible, simply because of the time required. Being a drama major and being pre-med are very time-intensive on their own, so I don’t think it would work out together. As a former pre-med student at NYU, I don’t see how you’d have the time or energy to be really good at both. Of course, you should ask someone in the NYU advising department about whether or not it’s possible to do the two together.</p>
<p>The other thing is that both acting and being a physician are difficult fields to get into. Acting should not be a “backup” career in case pre-med doesn’t work out for you, nor should getting into medical school be seen as a backup in case acting doesn’t work out for you. I’m inclined to think that you should pick one or the other to give yourself the best possible chance at success.</p>
