Pre-Med Chemistry Classes - 14 or 20+30?

zzzboy,

Thanks for replying back, I really appreciate that. I’ve been calling around and doing a lot of research. But I think there are still a few problems.

You said that my year of ochem is 30A, 30B, and 30BL when really that it is 2 quarters of lecture and 1 quarter of lab. I’m sure you see where I’m going with that cuz medical schools say they want 1 year of ochem lecture with lab. But yeah, you are wrong about the Chem 30C requirement, although it may not be required for the MIMG, it is a requirement for medical school.

Copy paste that and click the first link that says “Medical school Requirements”
[UC Irvine premed requirements - Google Search](<a href=“UC Irvine premed requirements - Google Search”>UC Irvine premed requirements - Google Search)

It also says to take 30C if your a premed PhySci major and on the UCLA career Center it says to take 30C. I’ve also talked to other premeds as well about this requirement and a doctor I work with.

As for 30CL… I’m still a bit weary. It seems as though I dont need it and I could also use biochemistry lab 153L as a substitute for this ochem lab. Do you have any references?

thanks
