Pre-Med School Selection!!

Take pre-med out of the equation…now which school would you pick?

What’s your Plan B if med school doesn’t work out? (And for most pre-meds, it won’t) Which school offers you better Plan B career options?

Some notes–

STEM research isn’t the be-all, end-all high schoolers think it is when it comes to med school. Most med schools outside of the the highly competitive research-intensive schools don’t care if you have any research. Med school adcomms are more interested in your other ECs–community service with the disadvantaged, clinical volunteering, physician shadowing, leadership.

Pre-med at Michigan is extremely competitive with lots of weeding going on in intro level classes. I’d imagine it’s the same at GW.

Plenty of on-campus internship recruiting happening at UM.
