Premed/ journalism

This thread gives some information about journalism at Brown: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/563214-brown-journalism.html

As mgcsinc said, though, there are no minors, and there’s no Journalism major. It’s definitely possible, however, to complete premed requirements while pursuing the available opportunities, whether you’re writing for the Brown Daily Herald or concentrating (majoring) in English or Literary Arts. My sophomore year roommate is an English major who is completing the pre-med requirements, so such a combination is not unheard of.

Edit: In fact, the Open Curriculum actually makes it somewhat easier to pursue interests in generally-disparate areas, since there are no course or distribution requirements, so that could be a plus.
