Preparation for the DEC 2008, MATH IIC!

Despite scoring 800 on both "Official" practice tests I scored today, I'm not particularly excited for this exam. I totally didn't prepare as much for this test as I ought to have (I bought Barron's but only did one practice test...the tests are so annoying lol and I feel the urge to give up halfway through)...but it seems to always work out that way for me and standardized tests. Hopefully there won't be any topics I've never heard of...and at worst, there's score choice right?

If you scored two consecutive 800's on CB tests, why do you still feel the need to practice?

how can i take a free sparknotes mathII test? I just registered, but can't find the option...

You can use this resource: Free Diagnostic Practice Test

^eek, it's forwarding me to a purcahse page :(

Just make a new email account and a new sparknotes account. Rinse and Repeat if you want to take other practice tests. I recommend "10 minute mail" (google).

^I understand that but it's not even letting me take my first practice test for free.

Also, in teh D2P calulator program that barraons has you make, how do I make the little arrow in line:

-->D

Thanks

Its the "Sto>" button on top of the ON button

^ King818, it worked for free. Try again with another account.

What about the "=" sign?

so when do you use the D2P program? i went through the barron's book and i didn't know when to use it ha

2nd -> MATH -> =

Love all the help, thank you guys :)

Is D2P Distance to point? I can think of plenty of questions that ask that.

Also, king if you have the ti-89 there's an equal sign on the left side of calc.

thanks guys that's very reassuring although im aiming for 800 only
this is going to be my first hopefully last shot.

Im not going to bother with trig identities besides basic ones, ill graph other on my calculator. I hate conceptual 3D geometry questions, any of those on there?

can you gimme an example of D2P?
oh and lolilaughed you are in the same time zone as me, what time you planning to go to bed?

Probably in an hour; good luck on the test tomorrow. I'm taking physics!

"can you gimme an example of D2P?"
x2

i wrote and have it but i'm not sure when to use ti

well, it just finding the distance between 2 points (the distance formula)
like if it gives you 2 points, um here's a problem

your given the points (0,3) and (5,0)
whats the volume of the cone created when the line is rotated around the x-axis

it should be 47.12
you just plug the numbers in the program to save time

i'm an idiot, that's right the distance formula is used a lot, but I'm referring to the "DPL" (aka distance between a point and line) one. does that come in handy?

yea, im having trouble finding a use for that too haha, like the thing doens;t make sense, wouldn't there be like infinte answers
