<p>I’ve been to both Wake and Furman. The Wake entrance is very impressive. Wake and Furman are very similar. I have to agree with gadad, Furman has a slight edge only becuase it is so well put together. Part of a master plan back in the fifties.</p>
<p>Academically, both schools will challenge students. Its why you go there. I always get a kick when somebody says “I’m interested in such and such school but one that doenst take up all my time”. </p>
<p>In college, what “time” are folks worried about? Time in top colleges will be divided into:</p>
<p>School work
projects
internships
clubs
frats
sports
some fun and entertainment
etc.</p>
<p>this is it. The student must find the right balance between all of them. No one area should consume it all. Its a balance. The top 1/3 should consume most of the time. If the bottom third is the top priority dont expect good results</p>
