Pressure Sucks!

Because they were machavellian.

Then what exactly are you arguing. Without an objective rational reasoning of argument, this discussion is rather pointless. You are, in effect, arguing a point but not arguing why the point is justified.

Who decides what is a special case? What is the terrorist value:human life ratio?
How do you deem a terrorist’s value. I dont see your 2:1 ratio working out very well.

The question was rhetorical :-D.

Speaking on behalf of myself…i just want to point out the falacies of your solution. Impracticality mainly.

though i put womens rights out as an example, you have again left me without a moral base that i can argue with you on. IF you cant agree that women should be treated equal to men, then i dont really see anything we can agree on.

In the unfortunate event that this may happen, you can count on me to bring you down myself.

As a self proclaimed “machavellian”, it is ineffective to use corruption as a means of degradation to your opponent.

And by the way neutral…it did say on an earlier post that you were a resident of the state of maryland…dont bring the nri card out on me.

i agree

The very idea that I am expressing my OPINION makes it clear that my comments are not objective.

I guess you do not understand that India is under attacked by terrorists and rebels. No socialist economy has ever been successful. India has made rapid economic strides since the early 1990’s when India’s economy was liberalized. The CPI still holds considerable power and is an obstacle to further privatization and development of India’s economy.

CPI is in power in Kerala and West Bengal. What economic strides have they made? Ok, Kerala is an exception b/c so many of its people work jobs in the Gulf.

Is there any doubt in your mind that Osama is the number one terrorist in the world right now? If I take over as dictator, I will decide what is a special case. The 2:1 ratio was a semi-serious concept. Terrorists have no value - they are to be mercilessly slaughtered w/out benefit of a trial. By 2:1, I meant that I would not hesitate to liquidate 3 suspected terrorists if at least one of them was a real terrorist. These policies were extremely successful in the Sikh insurgency. I desire to see Gill appointed as the top police official in Kashmir - highly unlikely though.

Since when is liquidating all terrorists impractical. Gill did it in the 1980’s. China brutally and successfully suppresses its Uighur minorities. A police state in Manipur effectively crushed all seditious movements there. Israelis launch TOW or Hellfire missiles at buildings they suspect contain Hamas leaders (they are often wrong about this, so some innocent people die). It is impractical b/c you view everything from an ethical perspective. I believe that “the means justify the ends.”

About the women’s rights, I was merely being facetious. Yes, I do agree w/ you that women are equal to men.

I was born there and I am still a greencard holder. I know much more about India than you do. My entire discussion related to Indian politics and I offered several examples to support my point.

You have not been able to come up w/ examples that support your point. And by examples, I mean examples related to India. You are not able to offer your own solutions due to your lack of knowledge about India, or at least that is what it has seemed like.

BTW, have you read the BBC article I posted the link to, on page 7?

don’t worry. I only have a third-grade command of hindi. So my dream of using massive rallies and Hitlerite speeches to gain power are bound to crash. If you do try to bring me down, I’ll just use BJP line and claim you are 1/8th foreign, lol.

not ineffective but hypocritical.

incorrect. An opinion may be expressed in an objective manner (using logic and a decent value criterion). Hence…an objective argument. TO present a case in an objective way by no means means that what you are presenting must be objective.

You are probably right. I was born and raised in chevy chase, MD. So therefore i am 50% american and even less indo-burmese-lankan.

At first glance, it would appear that you are more of a communist than I am…submission of the individual to the state. Prevalance of common good over individual welfare…but the argument is certainly more complex than it appears.

I apologize if whatever i said sounded flamey lol. I get so carried away
:-D

River Phoenix: But unfortunately, the human race isn’t really evolving anymore. We have medecine for the weak, and modify the environment to fit us, rather than change ourselves.

BTW, since we have went from IIT to NeutralNuke->Supreme Dictator :p, does anyone want to comment on the story developing in London about what really happened with the suspected Brazillian who was shot by police?

this is my last (hopefully) post in me becoming dictator.
trancestorm - I know you might not like this but take this test anyway: http://www.poisonedminds.com/tests/dic/

about the Brazilian guy - he was approached by ~20 plainclothes policemen and he decided to run away from them and BOARD A TRAIN; police told him to stop - he didn’t and he was shot dead

if you were a policemen there, what would you do? shoot a suspicious person trying to board a train and possibly detonate a bomb on the train OR continue pleading w/ a man who keeps running away

I believe the London police will eventually become more professional - UK police traditionally patrol w/out guns - all of a sudden they have the “shoot-to-kill” orders - something bad has to happen

BTW about the bombings, while I am sorry over the loss of life, I feel that the UK had it coming. They had very lenient anti-terrorist laws. They repeatedly refused to extradite terrorists wanted by India and even US. Before the attacks, extremists could hold massive rallies where they basically reiterated Osama’s propaganda.

Shoot him in the leg

haha I am a fidel castro

another site said i was a saddam hussein.

He was shot at point blank range, 7 times on the head. And he wasn’t running - he was seated on the train. That’s what recent evidence suggests.

I’m Tony Blair

hello, you may be right - I have not been able to look at recent evidence - http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Brazilian_shot_by_police_on_London_Underground_was_not_acting_suspiciously

anyway, it is better to wait for a few more weeks for more conclusive evidence

I got a saddam

haha i guess we are not that different :-D

conclusion: inside every teenager is a brutal iron-fisted dictator
RiverPhoenix might be an exception

how different would india be if you remove 50% of the people?..just a curious question…

I guess that depends on who you remove
india would be unimaginably different - but knowing India, we would get back to 1 billion w/in a decade, lol

“I guess that depends on who you remove
india would be unimaginably different - but knowing India, we would get back to 1 billion w/in a decade, lol”
LMAO!

yeah…true…people in india breed like fcking fruitflies…esp in the villages…damn…

:( thats mean

what else do they have to do?..especially in the poor areas

“what else do they have to do?”
LOL!!!

seriously, the indian truck drivers prolly get laid more than the entire pop of the US put together…i guess it orginated from the kings who had like 12 wives and a butt load of cocupines…

yup, if i was a farmer w/out internet, TV, or any other form of entertainment - that’s what i would be doing 24/7
