price of a gallon of gas in your state "today"

Premium at $3.95 in Miami. Regular was at $3.65.

The crude to gasoline disconnect in the US is usually due to refining capacity.

I saw it was $3.20 last night at 11PM. I had paid $3.33 Thursday I think…

$4.39 for regular, $4.59 for premium. Diesel at $4.49

Ugggh. Hate it that CA seems to get reamed on everything. Time to move, maybe.

". Hate it that CA seems to get reamed on everything. Time to move, maybe."

Almost all, if not all of the premium Californians pay is due to taxes that the citizens and/or legislative bodies in California have voted for. The “reaming” is self-imposed.

Paid $3.19 at Costco today.

High state taxes aren’t the only reason gas prices are so high in California–environmental regulations account for a large part of it as well. There are only a handful of refineries that produce the blend that’s used here in the warmest months to reduce air pollution, meaning that if there’s any disruption at even one refinery, gas prices may spike suddenly as they did a few weeks ago. At the end of October when the weather cools off the less expensive winter blend is allowed which is produced by many more refineries.

Which has been shrinking dramatically as oil companies shut down refineries across the country.

$4.49 at a gas station in San Jose (Thursday afternoon), $3.79 at my local Arco here in WA (Thursday evening).

Love the fact that I can breathe without it hurting to inhale, like it did in the 70s when smog was out of control. Our cleaner summer blend is a big reason why the pollution levels have dropped. But, land cost is also a factor, as is the cost of labor. So, no…not totally self-imposed, Dragonmom. It just costs more to do business here in California.

Still sucks though!

$2.99 for regular here in SC today. And $3.29 for premium which is what I use although I got it for $.10/gallon less by using my Kroger card.

In the Albany area: For regular - $3.68 last night if cash, $0.05 higher if credit.

$3.17 in Minneapolis-St. Paul today. Price has dropped 62 cents in the last couple of days, not sure what accounts for it.

Just be glad you have gas! Long lines, running out, going out of state. Long lines and limits just for gas cans!

I remember the gas lines from Snowtober last year. Long lines and you had to pay in cash because they couldn’t process credit cards because the networks were down. I’m glad that only lasted four or five days.

Concord, Massachusetts just paid $3.79 hot hi octane–cash price.

$2.93 regular in Dallas at a Walmart with the $0.15 per gallon discount using their card.

Here in Portland, OR, I paid $3.97 per gallon last Wednesday–and $3.49 today.

Just came back on a trip through NJ where they have even-odd rationing and long lines in the stations that do have gas. I don’t actually care what gas costs here any more!

I’ve seen prices from $3.53 to $3.59 in our area. I filled up for $3.53 last week at the cheapest station in our area so my guess is that that station is around $3.47 right now.

My new car gets 25% better gas mileage with a 5.5% smaller gas tank so I don’t have to fill up as often.

I just filled up for $3.14 cash here in southern Illinois…
