Sir, your sincere words and wishes to your son and all of us really move me. Now I feel I’m almost crying. Thank you, hope you and your family all get a desirable future, and all of us in here. You, and we, deserve it.
No matter what results will show in today, there’s nothing we can do to change it. All we can do is to accept it, think it, and do better with it, no matter it’s an acceptance, a rejection or a wait-list. You still get options in your life. I’m a homeschooler and a young entrepreneur in China and have been hoping to go to US universities for 10 years, and I know I’m not a normally good or well-rounded student. I run my own company and manage 300 people, and I lost the most precious time to study SAT/SAT2. I got a bad score(1450), and it’s highly possible that ivies will turn me down. But I believe I can have a future without ivies as good as I have ivies.
It’s some words I really wish to say to every students and parents in there, you are all dedicated to your works, so don’t feel bad or sorry to the results. It’s out of our control. Don’t take this as an excuse to us, because we don’t need it. Take it as a motivation and a spirit, and carry on. I’m looking forward to see all of you guys in the future, wherever we end up with.

I have no skin in the game. None of my kids were ‘Ivy’ material and as I await a final decision for/from my youngest from a non-Ivy I find myself drawn to the amazing kids and families who await word at 5 pm tonight from the country’s finest school. You are all amazing! The absolute worst situation you will be in after 5 pm is you will have a choice of some incredible schools, with many of your receiving hard-earned grants and scholarships. You’ve read it/heard it/hate it: these schools don’t define you, you define them. I do not envy the pressure you feel, but I admire the effort you’ve all given. Good luck and know you will succeed wherever you go.
@ammielove You’re UK aren’t you? I think they come out at 10pm for us.
@greenstudent I checked its 10pm. the clocks went forward this week!
@ammielove I definitely noticed my lack of sleep when they went forward Good luck fellow Briton! (and everyone else of course!)
good luck everybody! i’m off to sleep!
What time are the results coming out?
@rsmith0208 hour and a half! (5pm EST)
OK I’ve had a lot of experiences in my life but never one quite like this - waiting until five o’clock to find out whether this legacy is going to continue or not.
Article containing statistics for those admitted to the Class of 2021 - from Daily Princetonian site:
http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/article/2017/03/u-offers-admission-to-6-1-percent
I read “most selective year yet” and it was the nail to my coffin… rip
Wow that makes me feel a lot better to know that. 6.1 percent.
Good luck everyone. God bless. What ever happens, happens. Don’t let this define you. Know you went above and beyond by even submitting an application. Let the process be a learning experience. You learned about yourself and more. Don’t over look the small things. <:-P =D>
Princeton'21!
Got deferred early and 52 minutes left on the clock, I hope I can make this and let the legacy continue :C
