<p>sigh…I’ve been out of school all week…but here I am…working on the stanford app…yay…</p>
<p>Haha, I think I’m going to observe the UVa thread for a little preview (albeit on a much smaller scale) of what it’ll be like around here whenever the decisions start rolling in.</p>
<p>And jssballet, I worked on my Stanford app too. All is done now except the essays. I’m trying to decide whether to send it off by the recommended deadline or the latest (Dec. 15). Hmmm…</p>
<p>Today was awful.
I didn’t classes so I went ice skating (and fell) and it wasn’t the pretty outdoor one because it’s raining and miserable. Then I got home, realized I had forgotten my keys, and sat on my wet stoop waiting for my mother to get home. Now I’m cold and bruised. </p>
<p>But at least this long weekend looks good. Absolutely no schoolwork, so I don’t have an excuse not to start on my other college apps…mehh</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m beginning to think I’m going to wait 'til the 15th too, even though theoretically the Princeton decisions may not arrive until later. Oh well. And yeah, I’m starting on the essays tomorrow. I have no idea what I’m going to write for the roommate one. I mean, I know what I’d say, but it just looks stupid/random/illogical written out…</p>
<p>I’m still thinking about how to get out of writing another essay…somehow use all my princeton ones for other colleges you know? lol I thinK I’m covered for at least three schools. </p>

<p>oh yeah, zante! Except I was on here for a lot of the day and no one was on except for kat2 early on. Sad day 
But now people are starting to file in, so it’s all good.</p>
<p>I’m trying to work my Princeton essays into the other colleges, but so far it’s only worked for Yale. Not good times. The hardest essay for me to write right now is “Why Penn?” when all I can think about is “Why the hell not Princeton?”</p>

Yes I do pick my schools by application. I chose Columbia over Penn because their essay topic is completely open (they do have those pesky short answer stuff…I’m having trouble coming up with 10 reasons for Why Columbia…I think that really says something) </p>
<p>Yea Yale’s one of the apps I don’t have to worry about. When I was picking pton essays to write I picked the Significant activity one because I knew I was going to write it for yale. So yay, that’s one out of the way. I haven’t even looked at the other apps though! :eek:</p>

Should I be specific and mention programs/courses/stuff ,etc I like or should I wirte personal account of how I would love having coffee with friends from around the globe there?</p>
<p>Haha, I know. I added two schools to my list about a week or two ago, and I have yet to even open their app online. I just think it sucks that deadlines are right around ED decision time, when allegiance to the ED school is at an all-time high. It’s nearly impossible for me to think about anywhere besides P’ton right now.</p>
<p>That’s why I’m trying to get everything done before I get the decision, because writing college essays in depression? Probably not a good idea…</p>
<p>haha, yeah, agreed. Mine would be overly sarcastic, incredibly bitter, and unbelievably cynical. So yeah, I have three weeks to complete 8 applications. Again, not good times.</p>
