I’m applying RD to Princeton. Although I am a legacy and have decent stats, I’m doubtful that I’ll get in. Coming from Northern NJ and applying to ANY competitive school is hard enough, let alone Princeton.

Fellow Princeton RD-er here! I would have applied ED but I wanted to try to raise the test scores…didn’t end up happening…but oh well. Good Luck to All of you!

another Pt RD… I almost applied ED but my counselor talked me out of it for financial reasons (I’m international, living in US), which is legitimate I guess so I’m not complaining. Also I wanted to raise my scores a little and work on my essays more.

Is there anyone from the Midwest here ?

I’m in the midwest :)

lilian, I think I read in the Princeton viewbook not long ago that they were need-blind for internationals as well!

Yeah, I read through the financial aid policies for all the schools very carefully
One of the problem is that we are poorer than we seem so I’d have to figure out of a way to make up for the expected financial contributions. Also, my counselor insisted that I was mis-informed about their policy because it sounded too good to be true :p… but I guess I need the extra time for essays, so RD works for me well enough.

Ah, now I understand your situation a bit better.

Where in the Midwest are ya?

lol… hmm, I better not say… My interviewer said that there are generally 7 or 8 people who apply from my state each year. Competition is intense and personal ;)

lol, 7 or 8? that’s not very much… I’m expecting over hundreds to apply from my state

yes… it was actually kind of encouraging since they’ve got to take 1 so they can say that they have students from all 50 states… unfortunately 1/8 is 12.5%, so it’s no higher than the national average :P

My father was a professor at Princeton…He says it is corrupt and racist…He is now at Harvard and loving it.

whatever…should the rest of us start a RD roster?

I love the way this board is already heating up for RD…we “Princetonians” are certainly the CC social butterflies ![]()
It looks like my addiction won’t end with the ED notifications. =/

Yay! I hope it doesn’t end, because that would be bayyy-d. smacks wrist I’m so ready for April to be here for all of you. The class needs to be completed pronto. Ole!

yeah, Princeton definitely has the most active board life

it’s cute

it’s sad how most of the other ivy boards have died down quite a bit since decisions came out :(

Yeah but the Princeton one is still going strong :)

I don’t think i have a chance of getting in, but I feel like giving it a shot.

Yeah me too. It sure is fun trying :)

Everyone has a shot. Seriously. Apply because you may be pleasantly surprised! I don’t think you’d regret it :)

Princeton is a distant dream…and one that I love following :)
