Princeton Requested Graded Paper: Must It Be A Paper That Got an A?

Agree that many students have help on their essays. But wouldn’t the SAT essay score reveal whether a student has ability to get an A grade or not?

The SAT and ACT have had a lot of problems with their writing sections and anomalous grading.

@Eastcoast234 I believe Princeton instituted the graded paper requirement when they stopped requiring the SAT/ACT essay. The reason was to eliminate students from having to pay the extra fee required for the SAT/ACT with writing.

Unfortunately, Princeton admissions’ good intentions may have caused more harm than help.
