<p>I certainly would not say you are somewhat undesirable to them. You are on the waitlist, which means they wanted to accept you but there just is not enough room. </p>
<p>I’ve told this story somewhere here before, but my D was on the train once and overheard an admissions officer talking about how heartbreaking it is that they can’t accept all the students that qualify/deserve to attend Princeton. D said the lady was tearing up just talking about it. It’s just plain bad luck of the numbers.</p>
