<p>I can give you the Air Force version of things (I used to be a flight surgeon), which is pretty similar to the Navy’s POV. Don’t get LASIK or PRK if you think you want to go into aviation, I think that it is an automatic disqualifier, at least for becoming a pilot (not sure about NFOs). They are doing it for individuals on active duty. In the Air Force, air crew and “warfighter’s” get priority, everyone else is on a space A basis. They will not do it, or any medical care unless you are doing your summer training, if you are in NROTC.</p>
