<p>Here is where having had a visit and sample lessons can help. We are in the process of scheduling a special audition at one school for my D. The scheduled times (especially the 1st, recommended one, can’t work.) So, D sent a cd to the dept chair (whom we had met at our visit). The teacher with whom D had had a sample lesson spoke to the chair as well re my D’s singing, so after hearing the CD and the feedback from their voice teacher, the chair is happy to schedule a private audition. I imagine this is possible at other schools as well when necessary. Without the previous personal contact, this would be much more difficult. Let’s see how well we do with the rest of the audition scheduling…</p>
