<p>I agree stucco could be problematic I think you would have to just gently scrub the soil off,in any case wait for it to dry before they begin painting.</p>
<p>We didn’t use a power washer for our house, although we did scrub it ( & sand a lot- well I didn’t sand I hate power sanders) I would just wash the windows that really drive you crazy & expect to have the windows cleaned after as well.</p>
<p>We get a lot of dirt, living in the city, plus our house is south facing- it is whitish- but I am going for a more soil friendly color when we paint ( so far it just got primered)</p>
<p>Dont want to hijack the thread but I like to hear what color people are using. We have vinyl covered double hung windows- but since in the front the windows actually don’t open ( we were trying to save money at the time), I want to replace all of them with ones that are paintable- do you think that will look funny?
But actually, the vinyl is ivoryish, & I am going to paint the trim that color ( mostly- I want to add another color too) it probably will look fine to me.
( & it couldn’t be any worse than what my neighbor did to his 1900 bungalow next door)</p>
