Probiotics

Well, that’s what I learned–that many people THINK it does, but it does not. And since greek yogurt seems to be the “thing” these days, it’s good to know. And many yogurts do not contain sufficient probiotics to make a difference to your system.

They helped me when I needed. I do not consume yougurt on a regular basis, a bit over the weekends. I love ginger though and I heard that it is a major stomach helper. I just love the taste and consume lots of it for taste. I do not have an on-going issue with digestive system though.

I just don’t think that’s right. There is no reason for Greek yogurt not to contain probiotics. I agree that many types of yogurt don’t contain enough to matter, but I’m not buying that Greek yogurt doesn’t contain probiotics.

In regard to “Regularity”, 3 prunes or 3 dates in a evening and coffee in a morning serve me very well. I do not believe that my diet iw balanced at all though, I like to eat what I love. And what I love might work for me, because it is whole ton of fruit every day. And the best is to stay away from antibiotics, including all this hand lotions. They are life saving drugs and should be used in life threatenning situations. We are going to destroy this mighty saver by abusing it, then what?

Chobani Greek yogurt & Siggi’s Icelandic yogurt ( even thicker) have probiotics.

I like the mango Chobani & the orange ginger Skyr.
At least two strains are required by govt in order to be called yogurt.
Activa doesn’t taste like yogurt to me, something about its texture- too much starch & carrageenan.

Yogurt sure has come a long way since my mother bought it in the '60s ( she also made it, but forgot to flavor it-). I just remember it being sour, of course with Cap’n Crunch in the cupboard - anything is going to be sour in comparison. :p

“anything is going to be sour in comparison”
-if I ever have yougurt, it is Greek with prunes to bite on, not mixed in, it is plain. I do not like any store flavors. My yougurt it is definitely NOT sour at all.

I just looked at a bunch of websites, and most say something along these lines:
