Is the party over?

Bored and just starting a research paper assignment now…sad:(

I shall listen to DMX on the way to school today and I’m going to FIGHT these exams DOWN

Well THAT didnt go as planned.

After being molested by my precalc exam, time for a nap. I dont see how you do it megalo.

Don’t you put the points in L1 and L2 and hit the linear regression option (I forget what that was exactly under)?

I kinda forget Pre-Calc…it’s completely useless for Calculus lol. I think BC is easier though

man i hate BC.

****ing ridiculous here.

man I hate math. period.

math, unlike most things in life, cannot be faked, unfortunately

Numbers don’t lie.

Hi guys! Long time no see!

Haha, Eckie, you can fake math. I know an immensely complex way to prove that 1=2 which is based on a single tiny math error that most people don’t catch:)

As for how I do it…Starbucks Doubleshots and Bawls with Guarana. Lots of both.

math sucks.

go science and social studies!

megalomaniac0502- Isn’t division by 0 impossible ;)

And I don’t know why I said immensely complex…it’s just algebra…wow, I’m out of it. Lol. And no bongo, that’s not it.

??? The way I did it that’s what it was. you assume a=b right and on the final step you divide by 0 when you divide by variables…at least that’s how I was shown to do it…

a^2 -ab = 0 and you must divide by both sides, unless my math is off…can you show it please?

a=b
a^2=ab
2a^2 = a^2 + ab
2a^2 - 2ab = a^2 + ab - 2ab
2a^2 -2ab = a^2 - ab
2(a^2 - ab) = a^2 - ab
2=1 (after dividing by 0 = a^2 - ab)

I’m quite curious how you do it though…never saw it done any other way.

As creator of this thread, I am banning all math chat unless it is me asking for help and you all giving it.

Well, here’s a slightly different way…

x=y
xy=y^2
-xy=-y^2
x^2-xy=x^2-y^2
x(x-y)=(x+y)(x-y)
x=x+y
x=2x
1=2

lol, still division by 0 though because x-y = 0

I’m not sure what megalo is talking about

But removing the x-y (or a-b) is simply like removing a discontinuity! Therefore, division by zero is allowed.

wait, how can x = x+ y and then go to x = 2x?

I think you just blew my mind!!!

my english teacher sucks balls.

so much useless work

Since x=y, x+y is the same as 2x.
