Just caught up last night. I actually liked Kate’s dress, but I will say that she needs to quit seeing herself as the prize that returned - she’s starting to demurely act like she’s way too special - you’re on the show, you’re a contestant just like everyone else now Kate!!

ALso think that African lady should not have gone. I actually liked her dress and thought it showed off the jewelry well. Maybe not formal enough, but made well at least.

Cracked up when Sandro called Timothy “Amish”. Timothy honestly kind of creeps me out now.

Also loved the guy who had immunity dress. You could hear the “oohs/ahhs” when his model came out!

I think Tim will be holding onto that save for awhile. Too many contestants left unless someone good REALLY screws up early on.

Thanks for the reminder and link to the Tom and Lorenzo link. I about sprayed my margarita over my laptop at the “smoke coming out of…” - well, I won’t spoil the surprise ;)

Because I need 10 characters, I will add that I thought the other “bottom” outfit was worse than the loser, but I am thrilled with the end result.

I agree, the other dress in the bottom was just hideous. I was worried for a minute that one of them would leave and the other 2 would both stay.

If only they could have sent both members of the team home!

Is it “Sandro” - the Russian guy. I loathe him. He needs to go next.

Danced for joy that Sustainable Boy is gone.

I thought Kate and Helen’s was beautiful and sculptural but LOVED Dom & Alexandria’s monster outfit. Seriously, with the right fabric, maybe knitted, it could be very fun to wear.

I wish there wasn’t so much drama. There is a LOT of it this season. :(

Sandro next week, Miranda the next. That will take care of a lot of the drama. (Or Miranda, then Sandro - but after his spiel about “the woman doing what the man says”, I’m even more ready for him to go.

I actually agreed with the judges for once. Glad to see Sustainable Guy finally go home! I think three for three in the bottom three made it an easy decision. I realize this is not a personality contest, but I don’t know how much longer I can take Miranda and Sandro.

I must say, the designs they came up with were overall better than I had expected for this challenge. I’m generally not a fan of the unconventional challenges, but I loved the winning design by Helen and Kate!!

Is it just me or did Sustainable guy and Miranda look like they could be related?

SnLMom, I agree with your comments regarding unconventional design challenges. When I heard the Coney Island rules, I though to myself…“why can we go back to designing beautiful clothes like the early years?”

Goodness, yes! And the way they were carrying on last night, I wondered if they weren’t siblings . . . they were acting like it!

But, to be honest, I think the physical resemblance is mostly 'cause of the glasses they wear. But then you add to that their lack of talent and the common hometown . . . and one starts to wonder.

I thought they looked a lot alike too. As much as he creeps me out and annoys me, I almost felt a LITTLE bad for him - she was just downright rude - he may be odd, but he wasn’t rude to others. Agreed that they could have both certainly left!

The top 2 dresses were fantastic and such opposites. I think Helen has a crush on Kate!

Cool that they went to Coney Island and very interesting concept of using the prizes for designs. Did anyone notice that the tall blonde model designer, who says she is from Brooklyn, also said she had never been to Coney Island?! (I think it was her…)

Sandro definitely made the decision easy tonight.

Bradon is such a talented designer! My personal scorecard has him winning 3 of the 4 challenges so far.

I disliked Miranda’s design once again, and think she would have been out if not for the Sandro meltdown for the simple fact that this was her 3 week in the bottom 3.

I can’t believe the design by Alexander (I think?) was not in the bottom 3. It looked like a Halloween costume … someone dressed as a walking round-table tie display from a department store. Just hideous!

Disappointed that next week will be ANOTHER unconventional challenge!!

I feel like last season produced better garments and made the designers better by forcing them to blend commercial, creative and collaborative elements. This year they are trying to get them to budget, but I don’t feel like I would see most of these garments exciting the buyers at a show. I also think they need to focus on defining their target customer (even if it changes week after week.

From the short preview they showed of next week’s show, I’m starting to think it’s too bad Sandro’s gone. He may have been the only thing keeping everyone else in line. Now that he’s gone, many of the rest of them (who’ve been so quiet up to now!) all seem to be completely out of control.

And, honestly, who really wants to see yet another of Miranda’s boring, bare midriff disasters? She really needed to be gone last night!

I absolutely loved both Bradon’s and Dom’s designs–the former won for me in the category of designs only models can wear, the latter in the category of designs real people can wear–but I’m starting to think Bradon has an unfair advantage having a model so stunning that she could make a burlap sack look fabulous. I thought Kate’s offering was overpraised, but I guess they feel they have to justify bringing her back. The rest of them are a big bunch of blah. I can’t recall a season where the gap between the front runners and the also-rans was so vast.
