<p>To be honest, the application essentially lies on how well you do on the problems. This doesn’t necessarily mean the more you get correct, the higher your chances are of making into PROMYS. It’s really the quality of your solutions. I’ve heard somebody get in by answering 4. But, I’ve also heard of people getting rejected with 9 answered. Also, if by “math thingy” you mean a program, then I don’t think your chances will be hurt.</p>
